Seeking Beauty Schools Who Want To Create Positive Change
It's super simple to apply! Your 3-minute video should convey the following:

1 State why you need $10,000. What positive change will you make to your educational platform or curriculum with the grant money? Be specific.
2 How will these efforts/changes affect your community?
3 What will these positive changes do for the beauty industry as a whole?

The Beauty Business Summit Team believes in paying it forward. BBS rewards leadership and the school committed to making the biggest positive impact in their community and the beauty industry as a whole.

Submit your application and video no later than August 15, 2020

Five beauty school finalists will be announced on August 29, 2020, and will be notified with a personal phone call from Maxine Drake to confirm Summit attendance. Good luck!

All finalists will receive ONE General Admission ticket to the 2-day event. ($649 value). Schools and instructors receive special pricing if you need additional Summit tickets. Click here.

$10,000 Beauty business summit grant contest

The BBS Mission strives to elevate the beauty industry so that consumers recognize the value and invest in salon/spa services.

It starts with leadership.

The leadership grant is tailored for salon/spa owners sitting on big ideas that could have a positive impact on their business and community (which could have a ripple effect on the entire beauty industry).

Apply for the grant and tell us how $10,000 could breathe life into your vision!


You must use the Beauty Business Summit ™ Grant funds for a tangible asset/investment in your spa business. Follow the directions in "how to enter" listed below:

ENTRY PERIOD

May 6- June 10, 2022

How To Enter


  1. Submit a short essay about your company. Tell us about your business and what makes you stand out. Why did you start a beauty business? What do you do differently than anyone else? Have a specialty or niche? Tell us! How will you use $10,000 to enhance your business and community? Be specific.

  2. Upload your Cosmetology License and high-resolution headshot.

  3. Create a 3-minute video of yourself telling us 3 important things:
    📍Exactly what you will do with the $10,000 winnings. Be specific! Break it down so we know exactly what you are using the funds for.

    📍Explain how the winnings will have a positive impact on your business and community. Be specific.

    📍 How will this encourage and bring hopeful change to the beauty industry? Be specific.

What the BBS Grant cannot be used for:

REVIEW PERIOD

June 11 - July 21, 2022

The BBS judging panel will review submissions and five finalists will be announced on July 22, 2022.


The five finalists will present their vision and answer interview questions on stage at Summit on October 3, 2022. Attendees vote for the beauty business owner promising to make the greatest impact/positive difference.


WINNER ANNOUNCED

MARCH 21, 2023

One beauty business owner winner will be announced on March 21, 2023, at Summit!


The BBS Leadership Grant Application opens on May 6, 2022, and closes on June 10, 2022.
